My business partner, Lisa Johnson, was just saying this morning that we should start a more informal version of a women in business group (more for the free agent, entrepreneurial, person-on-a-mission types) in Portland.
We had an awesome 6-week Free Agent "Boot Camp" group (for a new content product we recently created for entrepreneurs) a few months ago, which was great, but we want people to stay connected and to facilitate a time for them to bring their big ideas to a group of smart people and have the opportunity to "juice the genius" in the room.
It would be even better if we had groups that were connected to each other in different cities like Vancouver (where our other biz partner lives). Anyway, just thinking a bit out loud b/c I was inspired by your YWIB group and realized how much I missed being a part of those kind of networks!
If anything, thanks for the inspiration!
Cassie
P.S. I noticed you said you had some options for housing if people were looking. I'm still looking as I have a limited network in NYC. Do you have any suggestions or people that I could contact? Anything would be greatly appreciated! I'm clean, take up little space and can make good blueberry pancakes! :)
