LOL - I don't know that there will be a third time. But, there's always a bright side to every cloud. I have no complaints at all. The people who made it through truly deserved it, and they'll make the most of the opportunity that is presented to them.
The plane ride home gave me some much needed time to think things through & decompress. Failure is often the strongest motivator. All you can do is take the lessons you learned and apply them.
And the truth is -- Seth isn't magical; he's just a guy that is trying to spur people to fulfill their potential. And if I could do it with him; I can just as easily do it without him :-)
The challenge is to avoid settling for mediocrity, and never being afraid to fail.
NJ Thompson is moving to NYC!
A huge congrats to everyone else that made it, and an even bigger high five to all that went for it.
(Too often we acknowledge risk-takers only when they "achieve" something, but taking the risk in the first place is an achievement in itself. We should all be proud of what we have done and what we plan to do as a result from this experience).
Indeed, all the applicants, chosen or not, just blows me away. My world keeps changing and getting larger from this experience. By just reading all the remarkable stories, it really opened my eyes to the the positive change that can happen and will happen. You all ROCK!
Adam - Thanks for sharing your NY journey on your blog!
Well, I was waiting until reality had really set in and we were really sure I was going to do it, but I'm in also. Am excited and depressed at the same time. I'm now having to think about the fact that I will be away from Kevin for six months. No amount of weekend plane trips can make up for that, although thank God for Google chat. We didn't have that back when he was traveling for work and we realized we don't do apart very well. But, there's just no way I could not go, so in four weeks, I will be loading up and heading out. Ack!!
